Overview and insights on Kenya’s diverse investment opportunities and incentives for FDI. Kenya’s position as East Africa’s premier investment destination is underpinned by its diversified economy, strategic trade linkages under the AfCFTA and EAC, and a robust framework of fiscal incentives designed to attract foreign capital. This session will provide a comprehensive analysis of Kenya’s high-growth sectors, ranging from renewable energy and manufacturing to technology and agribusiness and highlighting the specific incentives available to investors, and streamlined regulatory processes. The discussion will also delve into Kenya’s Vision 2030 priority projects, such as the LAPSSET corridor, which aims to integrate regional trade and logistics, and the opportunities emerging from public-private collaboration models.

With Kenya requiring an estimated $10-15 billion annually to meet its infrastructure and energy transition targets, this panel will explore innovative financing mechanisms that go beyond traditional debt instruments to bridge the funding gap. Panellists from private equity, infrastructure, development finance institutions (DFIs), and government will examine the role of blended finance in de-risking critical projects, such as off-grid energy solutions and transport networks. The conversation will also explore ways to support development of bankable projects across key sectors of the economy including infrastructure, off-grid opportunities, and broader industrial development.

This panel will highlight the investment opportunities and export potential of high-demand crops and also explore innovations in supply chain efficiency to meet Kenya’s industrialisation goals.
